Privacy policy and terms of service for the Logbook iOS app.

Logbook: OP TCG Card Scanner (“Logbook”, “the app”) is an iOS application published by Romain Lagrange, an individual based in France (“we”, “us”).
By creating an account or using the app, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use Logbook.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, and with Apple’s own App Store terms, which govern your download of the app.
Logbook lets you scan One Piece Card Game cards with your phone’s camera, keep track of the cards you own and the ones you want, and see an indicative market value for your collection.
Logbook is a catalogue and tracking tool. It is not a marketplace, a broker, a price guide of record, or a financial product. You cannot buy or sell cards through it, and we are not party to any transaction you make elsewhere.
Logbook is free up to the first ten items in your collection, and requires a subscription above that. The subscription is not a set of extra features: it removes the ceiling, and everything the app does is available below it. Be aware that the ceiling applies to scanning too, not only to storing: once you reach it, the scanner stops identifying new cards until you subscribe.
The subscription is sold and billed by Apple, through your App Store account, and renews automatically until you cancel it. The price and the billing period are shown to you on the purchase screen before you buy, in your own currency. You cancel it in your Apple account settings, not here, and cancelling stops the next renewal rather than the period you have already paid for. If you cancel, anything past your first ten items is hidden until you subscribe again; nothing is deleted.
Some plans start with a free trial. When one does, the purchase screen says so, along with how long it lasts and what you are charged when it ends. The trial converts into a paid subscription automatically unless you cancel before it runs out, and cancelling during the trial costs you nothing. Apple allows one introductory offer per Apple ID per subscription group, so if you have already used a free trial or an introductory price for Logbook, you will not be offered another one, whatever the purchase screen of a later version happens to show; Apple’s own payment sheet is what decides, and it always states the terms you are actually agreeing to.
You need an account to use Logbook.
If you think your account has been compromised, change your password and contact us at logbook.ugc@gmail.com.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what it erases.
This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it.
The values Logbook displays are indicative market data taken from third-party sources, chiefly Cardmarket’s publicly published daily price guide, together with data mirrored from TCGplayer. They are provided for information only.
Concretely, this means:
We accept no liability for any decision you make, or any loss you suffer, on the basis of a price shown in Logbook. If a figure matters to you financially, verify it against the marketplace where you actually intend to trade.
Card recognition runs on your device, and it is automated and imperfect. It can misread a card, miss a variant, or fail entirely, particularly on damaged cards, unusual lighting, graded slabs, or newly released sets that are not yet in our catalogue. When it fails, you can type the card’s code in by hand.
You are responsible for checking that what you added to your collection is the card you actually own. Logbook shows you the candidates and lets you correct them; use that.
Our card catalogue is compiled from public data sources and may contain errors, gaps or omissions, especially around new releases.
Your collection, your sealed products and your wishlist are stored on your account, on our servers, and kept in step with a copy on your device so the app works offline. Sign in on a new phone and your collection comes back.

What our copy is for is described in the Privacy Policy: giving your collection back to you, and nothing else.
Logbook is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Bandai Co., Ltd., Bandai Namco, Eiichiro Oda, Shueisha, Toei Animation, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.
“One Piece”, “One Piece Card Game”, and all related names, characters, card designs, logos and imagery are trademarks and copyrighted works of their respective owners. They are used in Logbook for the sole purpose of identifying and cataloguing physical cards that users already own — a descriptive, referential use. All rights remain with their owners.
Logbook is likewise not affiliated with or endorsed by Cardmarket, TCGplayer, or any other marketplace or data source referenced in the app.
The app itself — its code, its interface, its design, its name and its logo — belongs to us. You may use Logbook for your personal, non-commercial card collecting. You may not copy it, decompile it, resell it, or build a competing service out of it.
If you believe Logbook uses content you hold rights to in a way you have not authorised, contact us at logbook.ugc@gmail.com. We take these requests seriously and respond promptly.
Everything you enter, meaning your collection, your wishlist and your purchase prices, is yours. We store it so you do not lose it (section 6), we claim no rights over it, and Logbook has no social or publishing features: nothing you enter is shared with other users or made public.

Storage and bandwidth are billed to us. Abusing them takes the free version away from everyone.
Logbook is provided as is and as available. We do not promise uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any feature — including the card recognition service, the price feed, or the app itself — at any time, and third-party services we depend on may change or disappear beyond our control.
Logbook is a personal project run by one person. We will do our best to give notice before withdrawing something that matters, but we cannot commit to a service level.
You can stop using Logbook and delete your account at any time, from within the app.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms — in particular section 9 — or if we are legally required to. Where circumstances allow, we will tell you why.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law — including, for consumers in France and the EU, your statutory rights and our liability for death, personal injury, or gross negligence and wilful misconduct.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
We may update these terms as the app evolves. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Logbook after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, delete your account.
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence.
Any dispute will be brought before the competent French courts, unless the applicable consumer protection rules give you the right to bring it elsewhere. We would much rather sort things out by email first: logbook.ugc@gmail.com.
